Monsoon? Debenhams? And I'm sure there are smaller type one off shops if you look around

Gah - don't go to debenhams, you'll end up with the same dress as someone else. Bridal shops are excellent, if a little pricey. xx

Monsoon are very good, I've bought two from there. Never seen anything I liked in Debenhams though. As Mousey said, try a bridal shop too.

Although with bridal shops you have to be careful. At my leavers prom on Friday it was obvious that so many people went to bridal shops for their dresses...there were a lot of people who looked like bridesmaids and even a few who looked like they were getting married.

i think ill do so . then again my school is kinda cheap when it comes to things like that. We have to hire stuff even flowers which was ridiculous. the flowers were hired for our final 6th form nra ceremony, nxt to flowers everyone noticed the stickers "flowers courtesy of homebase or hired form homebase" which is just across the road from our school. the sadest thing ever was at the end when the teachers rushed to give them back so that they dont have to pay for another days hire. hilarious

Try your local TK Maxx if you have one, I went in there a few days ago and they had LOADS of ball gowns, prom dresses etc, there was a lot of choice and the prices were very good, around £30- £40 per dress. Chances are that if you get one from there, no one else will be wearing it too, as they sell a lot of 'one-offs'.
