When I get warm, I get red blotches all over my back and chest. They have little white spots in the centre and itch like crazy! Is this prickly heat and if it is, is there anything that I can do to stop it? I'm going to Cyprus in August and I'm worried about being a blotchy, itchy mess!

I think you have urticaria, go to the docs and get something for it.

Sure, before you mention anything, just say about the blotchy rash. I think its ultricaria as its an allergy thing. It's also known as Hives.

You sya you get white spots in the centre, then im pretty sure you have ultriceria. Simple to treat, nothing serious, it can be caused by the pollen because of the time of year etc.

No, urticaria is the other way round. It's red blobs with a white border. And they're slightly raised and very itchy.

Well I think prickly heat is just red blobs, coz I get it sometimes, but it might be different for other people. My dad has a sun allergy (I dunno if that unpronouncable word you used is it's proper name :redface:

) and I think he has reb blobs with a white centre, so it oculdbe that. Go to the doctors, or if you don't have time then the pharmacy.

Heat rash doesnt usually appear blotchy, nor does it have white puss spots in it, who knows. Probably turns out shes got some rare skin condition that no one has heard of..

I doubt it's eczema. I used to have that, really badly. Eczema is more like very dry skin, which itches because of the lack of moisture, and then hurts when you scratch it. Mine ended up in a really gross way because I used to scratch it, and I've got scars from old mosquito bites I scratched. I suggest that whatever it is you have, DON'T SCRATCH IT :p:

Calamine lotion will help the itching, but since you have to get that from the pharmacist you might as well wave your rash at them and ask their advice
