UCAS Invitation

Basically, I have applied to do a teaching degree at Winchester, Brighton, Plymouth, Canterbury and St Mary's. To get onto a teachng course you have to complete an interview to see if your fit to teach children.

When you log onto UCAS Track it says, and I quote "If you receive an invitation from one of your choices (displayed in the Choices section), you will need to reply to it by clicking on the course code in red then reply to invitation."

I recently recieved an e-mail from Canterbury inviting me for an interview but nothing has come up on my UCAS Track to achknowledge this. I also recieved an e-mail once I had confirmed re-confirming all my times, etc.

I am really confused, does this mean that my interview hasn't been acknowledged by UCAS or is the 'invitation' offer on UCAS nothing to do with interviews? Can anyone put my mind at rest?

Sorry to be petty but I am worrying, thanks alot!

I think I've read that not all universities declare the interviews on UCAS, they just send you the email instead. Someone will be along soon to confirm this or tell me I'm wrong though, I'm sure. It shouldn't be a problem, but give them a ring once the offices are open if you'd like to put your mind at rest.

Dyer's right. It's also possible that UCAS'll change it to invite some time after you get the invite through email.

Not all universities have started using the new 'invitation' option on UCAS Track, as it was only brought in this application cycle. An 'invitation' on UCAS could mean an interview, casual chat or applicant open day.

I think thast interview thing comes up on everyone's UCAS whether they have interviews for their course or not. Don't worry about it; I've been to a couple of interview and nothing's come up on Track at all

on my ucas track it said:

- so i accepted it
so that means that i accepted the interview?

Accepting an invitation isn't the same as accepting their offer, if they had already given you an offer, then it would have been a open day. I've personally had 5 interviews (and 5 offers ). None of these appeared on UCAS they were just emails from the department admissions offices. I'd have thought you'd have an email or note on UCAS explaining what is is.

ok thank you very much!
got a conditional offer now.
one other thing --
it says under the condition to contact the uni about open days.
does that mean as part of my condition i am going to have to return there for a open day?

This looks like the uni wants you to have your interview at an open day, but you'll need to ask them. No one here can see your Track or knows what the admissions tutor wants from you.

This is an 11 year old thread.

Without you explaining what you accepted and how no one can answer your question.

i will just rewrite it, so i added bucks new university and i got accepted and it said to accept the interview. so I clicked it. and then i got an email explaining to me what i studying and when my interview taking place however i read the email now and I got scared because way bottom of the email is said

"Is there anything else?

Finally, we do need you to confirm your place as soon as possible by adding to this email and click REPLY, as unconfirmed interview places will be reallocated due to the limited number of places available. You must confirm your availability as soon as possible preferably by Monday 12 April 2021 at the latest."

but on UCAS it told me to accept which I did. so I'm not getting an interview then?

If their email says to confirm your attendance by replying to the email then do that too
