    if i dnt get the a2 grades that i wanted, and retake the modules the folllwing year, do i stand a chnace of getting into a top uni?

    hmm, thats tricky

    I dont think many top unis will take you as 100's or even 1000's of their applicants would have acheived the grades in the 2 years showing more discipline and what not...

    Also, some top uni's state that they want the grades over the two years, one for example is Kings. Its not on their website, but in their 05/06 prospectus it is clearly stated

    Some unis seem really unreasonable- like Kings, as my friend who got 5 a*s and several A's at GCSE and is predicted all A's at A Level has been told not to bother applying because she just missed a B in GCSE maths- they told her a re-take wasn't good enough.
    Seems a bit small-minded to me.
