    SWEET!!!

I plan on attending the interview session March 3rd in Oxford...

I'll let you know via this thread if I find anything about the interviews.

    What are your stats?
    You can find mine above...

What do you think your chances are?
you can find my stats in the first post of this thread.....

there's only one update to that post - "i've passed the level-1 and I am now a level-2 candidate of the cfa program" - but i haven't communicated this to oxford....

I never had a clear idea about my chances at the top, and that's one of the reasons why i've started this thread...in fact i was surprised that i got an offer from lse

anyways, i'm in a great mood these days and so i have a feeling that my chances are very high...almost equal to yours!! you and I are competing for very different places because they'll take you under the high experience category. and i might be a mix of both - they're probably trying to maintain a balance of experienced people and fresh graduates - 50% of the people are fresh..

our chances depend on how many people they've shortlisted for the interview...on another thread on this forum someone said that if you do just normally on the interview, you're in...but i don't know whether this is correct.(and don't think)

until now, i have offers from lse, warwick, cass, nottingham

maybe this'll be my first rejection, maybe not...

    all the best!!

    Good job!

If you've studied in the UK, I think it's worth considering doing the CEMS option. If not, I don't see a point in spending the extra-money...

As far as I know, the CEMS is well known by many MNCs (including the company that I work for), so I guess it is quite reputable.

    Go for it!:yy: :yy: :yy:

Hurrah!!!! I just received a letter today! An Unconditional offer to read the MPhil in European Archaeology at Oxford! Wow, the envelope was so thin I was sure it was a rejection letter before I opened it. Then I realised that they don't start rejection letters with "I am pleased..."

Now to see if I get the college of my choice... six weeks to wait!

I don't know if it was my writing samples or letters of reference that did the trick, as I have only a 3/4 GPA at my undergrad university. Still, I have had 4/4 GPA for the last 5 semesters, so maybe that helped.

    Still walking on air....

Kindly advise if it is advisable to apply to lse, oxford . Am I too late . I have heard Oxford has special quatas for diffferent countries . How many Indians have already cleared the Interview or recieved an interview offer from Oxford.

Will LBS take people at such experiance for MIF. Is it advisable to fill LBS

Your chances/whether you can still apply depend on:

What course do you want to study at Oxford or the LSE?

    YEEEHHAAA!!!

received a conditional from LSE for MSc Accounting & Finance...

one condition is that I score a 1.5 (German grading system) on my bachelors degree. my current average is 1.9 and I only get two more grades (one for my thesis and one for my oral thesis defence), which means I have to score sky-high

Somewhere on the LSE homepage it says that they might take you even if you don't fulfill all the conditions. Anyone know anything about this, cuz it might be a really close one for me (I am sure that I can improve my 1.9 grade, but I don't know, whether I'll be able to make the 1.5 average condition).

    any comment appreciated:yy:

Flyingkolors wrote his last post on this thread over two years ago and hasn't logged in since October 2007. If you want to get in touch with him, I suggest that you try emailing him through his profile... As for his GMAT score, that's in the very first post on this thread.

Hello everyone, I am a undergra student planning to apply for a postgraduate school. I think three of the lecturers are willing to write reference for me, who are my temporary personal tutor, my dissertation tutor and a teaching fellow who will be working in Oxbridge in November. Most unis normally require two references. My temporary personal tutor was my lecturer one year ago, and he just became my personal tutor since the original personal tutor went away to some other country. My dissertation is a senior lecturer. The teaching fellow is very nice and he will not be working in Oxbridge till October or November. Who should I ask reference for?Would be much appreciated if you could provide any hints.
