I ALREADY DID JUST BEFORE, MADE AN APPOINTMENT, BUT I FORGOT TO ASK.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THAT OFFER IS STILL ON IN SPECSAVERS - THE ONE WITH CHEAPER CONTACT LENSES?

Well, ask for a receipt for your eye test. You can claim it back later

You can only claim the money back if you get help with medical costs though, obviously.

They are usually about £15 from most opticians. Some (? maybe all) Specsavers are franchises though, so it may vary as said above.

EDIT: Forgot to mention - because of the above reason, some Specsavers seem to offer free contact lens trial and some don't. Quite random really.

I normally get mine free coz I'm 18 and a student and I'm on a pay-monthly thing with my lenses that includes free check-ups
