When you're already half-way through hell, why not keep going?

i agree. Plus, the vote of new members who have only posted twice in the suggested poll would count as much as those who have been around much longer, which is unfair.
    thats true.......

but contacting d wouldnt work....i dont think he really would care...

    Why not?
because if hes hardly ever on it would be like a month before he could check his pm's....plus you can't email him or pm him unless he is online

I've contacted him before - that's how Adhsur became a mod.

Ironic isn't it. In fact you asked me if it was ok with me if you became a mod - I said of course and next thing I know, I'm a mod. I wonder how that happened.

Don't ask. I ended up shooting myself in the foot on that one.

I based my entire campaign on the fact that you didn't want to be a moderator. It backfired slightly, as you can see.

Yes, the subsequent conversation with d was like this:

d: would you like to be a moderator?
A: No thanks...blah de blah reasons
    d: hmmm ok then
A: can i have my own title though?
d: Only if you become a mod
    A: Hmmmm, ah well nevermind.

Tada and then I'm a mod. lol.

I composed a brilliantly worded letter which listed all the reasons why I should be a moderator and sent it to d. He 'thanked me for my well-worded letter' and said that, if Adhsur didn't want the job, then it was mine.

Having started this whole debate off with the demote Koloth thread, I think that the following should happen:

    1. The deleated threads restored

    2. A poll set up by someone with authority to determine public opinion

    3. Koloth/Leekey etc should be contacted to see if they *actually* want to be moderators anymore.

and 4. anyone with less than a months experience on this forum disregarded from the 'public opinion' as they are for now still just in the process of passing by. Whether they stick around or not has yet to be established. Especially with only 36 posts.

I'm sorry - but you've been here for less than me (I used to just watch and not post) yet, youve been claiming you should be considered for a mod. OK - NEWBIE.
