Imagining what other TSR users look like

Ok this is probably quite a random thread, but sometimes I have a mental image of what other TSR users look like, and I was wondering if anyone else does? I've got no idea why I have these mental images!

For example:

Chilipop - I always imagined being about 30 and going a bit prematurely bald
Onearmedbandit - I imagined being tall with short dark and quite spiky hair
Dr_Death - similar to Onearmedbandit
Spangletastic - long straightened hair

This was before I looked on the Picture thread, of course..

Well let me analyse them for you :biggrin:

Chilipop - old because of the "pop" bit (poppa? :confused:

) and chilly cos a bald man's head would be ummm cold.

Onearmedbandit/dr death - both sound evil and bandity so you'd imagine them to have dark hair.

Spangletastic - Like spaghetti? stringy hair?

It's even stranger seeing TSR users in the flesh because people always look different to their pictures!

I would have thought Chilipop's would have been because of the avatar he had, but there we go...

It must all be subconcious or something - it certainly wasn't a concious decision, anyway...
I did't think onearmedbandit or dr death sounded evil, just for the record! Nor do I think Spangletastic has spaghetti-like hair - I'm sure she's got very nice hair!

I used to picture people as their avatars...but now I've turned off avatars they're all just disembodied voices in my head :confused:

It was taken a year ago, so 19.
This onewas taken last week though. But I get complaints when I try and change my avatar so it's having to stay!

Avatars do make your impressions slightly more odd, I have to say :s:

I always imagine some sort of face or voice, but I'm usually wrong :frown:

But since I actually know only one other person on TSR in real life, i.e. I've never met any of you (to my knowledge), then I may never know for sure...

Heh. I'd have to agree with you there. For example, I'd imagine pikaboo to look a lot more like pikachu than she idoes. It's the reason I don't have an avatar.
