    Im in the process of writing up some work from my biology field trip about a limpet biometry investigation that we did. We used an instrument that resembles a compass, only instead of having one "leg" for the point that you put on the paper and the other for the pencil, it has a point on each. If you have any idea what i'm talking about, plz help ... my mind has gone blank! Thankyou in advance, Hinna x

    Something like this?

    That's also called a compass, but if it has a small thing with a screw then its called a divider.
