Don't bother, chances are he will find someone else at university so save your money.

If you wanted to get him something sentimental then I suppose you could get him a nice piece of jewellery, like an engraved bracelet or something like that, or a nice watch. If you wanted to get him something practical that he could use in Uni, you could get him a digital dictaphone to record his lectures or something like that, maybe ask him if theres anything he wants to take with him.

    welcome to my world

if you insist on getting him something, get him something sentimental to the both of you, something that jogs a memory that you two had together ----but something you won't regret giving him if things don't work out between the two of you.

If u are like a couple and everything really goes well then i suggest that u get him something that reminds him about u.
Like the best times both of u have had being together.
If he really loves u then i dont see him going for another at university and if u do then i done think u will either but this might all change.

My problem too. Why is it so hard to get men sth? A girl would be happy with aaanything but I can't see any of that kind of present that would be of much use to boys. Don't want them to think they're girly.

    something like a leatherman?

Mine is handy at uni, someone will always need a screwdriver/pliers and a bottle opener is always good to have at parties.
