I have received conditional offers from
Aston- English Language
King's college london- English Language and Communication

After a discussion with a family relative earlier on in the week, he said to me King's would be better going to because it's a very good/reputable university
Initially, I was going to choose Aston for its placement year which hardly any other unis offer for English.

overall...would employers value placement year or a better uni in london more?

I'm so confused...I don't know what to choose anymore

Help appreciated
Thanks

A placement year shows that you have experience.
I would go for where you would feel more comfortable.
Its not really all about prestige, there's various factors. Its a personal choice.

King's.

Although if the placement year really appeals to you then you should go for that. I never looked at Aston when I applied for English language and I wasn't aware that any course offered a placement year! My five choices were King's, Edinburgh, York, Sussex and Lancaster (5/5 offers). What universities did you go for?

I've replied to your PM by the way.

Thanks for the reply...I've replied back

Not really bothered about a placement year tbh...just thought it would be more of an advantage to employers?

Applied to: Aston, uni of birmingham, kings, manchester, leeds

Go the open days at both universities. See which one you like more. A placement year would be useful.
University reputation isn't everything and, besides, Aston is still fairly respectable.
Sorry. I wanted to be different
