Yeah same here, I loved the mature students, they were such an inspiration. I hated all the cocky young ones who messed about all the time. Although most the ones who messed about did not graduate with me yesterday :wink:

Congratulations on the graduation by the way. The thing is that I get on best with those who think that students are students, and the age isn't an issue. Whilst I can't manage an all night in Manchester anymore, I can give something useful to younger students, and they often give me things of use. It's about just respecting each other and realising that we're all human beings rather than the age being important. I hope I'm not too proud, or stupid, to not ask for help from someone younger than me - especially as most of the lecturers are younger!

Thanks, I managed it without having a heart attack, although I am sure its decreased my life exptancy by about 10 years.

I am only 22 (almost 23) and one of my lectureres was only 2 years older than me (a PhD researcher) that felt highly odd.

I can't even manage a full night out in Manchester anymore, I often seem to leave at 1:00am though if it was a local bar I would stay till closing even if its 4:00am :smile:

I don't think anybody really noticed the age, although the groups of friends did seem to be affected by age.

I was the oldest in my group of friends.
