Puzzling Cambridge Interview.....Please Everyone I need some advice

I haven't applied at Cambridge in the traditional way. Actually, I do not know whether I have applied at all. I gave all my papers to a company that said that they were going to help me with the applications however, I haven't filled any application forms....and they don't even know what I'm interested about. Well, in an essay I gave them, I mentioned Genetics, but I haven't said anything about this to them personally.

Now, the director of this company calls me and tells me that very very soon I am going to have a 30 minutes interview with someone from Cambridge "to see if I am capable of attending Cambridge" (literally his words).
Now, my question is...... WHAT THE HELL CAN THE INTERVIEWER ASK ME WHEN THEY PROBABLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME AND MY INTERESTS???
Math questions? Biology questions? "About me stuff"?
I am very confused and I don't know what to prepare for.
Please help me.

About you, your course, the institution, what interests you, why you want to study, what you do to relax, you get the idea.

Good luck.

Read the Cambridge article and some articles on genetics.
 Sounds very dodgy to me.

Plus Cambridge has made their decisions already
Sounds like you got scammed. Is this "interview" in a garage film studio or a dark back alley by any chance?

they may ask you around the subject of Genetics

How much did you pay this company?! What company is it....?!

I had no idea you could pay someone to basically apply to university for you.
Reply 6
Scam? Have you paid this man?
Reply 7
Erm...what?! I thought the date for Cambridge interviews had passed and people are now finding out if they got in or not :s-smilie:

You're getting scammed. You might as well have some fun with him - say you're applying for a course Cambridge doesn't offer and see if they still "accept" you.

This is a scam. Don't give them any more money!

You might want to e-mail someone at the University ([email protected]) and tell them what has happened and the name of the company you used. Although realistically, it is probably too late for you now this year.

Hahaha! I don't think it's a scam. It's the company of a person my parents knew that either helps you (through other international companies, based on your references) apply for jobs in foreign countries or apply in universities. However I know about the college deadlines and all..... and I find it very suspicious too. Plus, I haven't paid them yet :p: !
And the "interview" is going to be held at their office (i'm an international)....at least I will be able to tell if he's british or not by the accent :s-smilie:

Please consult Cambridge as soon as possible to see if this group be it legitimate or not would ever give you a chance to be accepted.

It's a scam, the interviews have been and gone, we're finding out now whether we've been accepted or not.

Cambridge sent out their decisions already, so what if your parents know the guy who owns the company? You've been had.

This sounds like the beginning to a low budget porno movie to me

If what you're saying is true then this company does not help you apply, they are there to offer extra assistance but they won't actually apply for you. You need to apply through UCAS.
They are going to kidnap you during this 'interview' and turn you into a crack whore. Have you ever watched the film Taken?
Reply 18
Yes, I have seen Taken. I am albanian (the same nationality the kidnappers had) so I think I can deal with them if anything happens. (lol, just kidding) It's safe don't worry....I said he as general but it's a she actually. The president is a woman, I've been at their offices quiet often, I've talked to her....and it's only 10m away from where my father works, and I am pretty sure, he will want to wait for me outside.

To azhao: You are probably right but she said the contrary, though it doesn't really matter. Either way, I am applying the traditional way next year...
