Plantar Fasciitis

Hey..

Ive just been to the doctor and told I have this.. Im a bit unsure I do as all she seemed to do was poke around and then said it was this. I suffered from a heel problem when I was 6 (wasnt this) and I wonder if its a reoccurance of that but she said there were no records.

I have searched on the internet and it says its very uncommon in people under 25 years old and I was just wonmdering if anyone else has had it.

I have to wear trainers and these heel pad things and am going on holiday next week and will be far to hot to be wearing these things. Im bit annoyed! :frown: An injection can also be used but is a bit risky to do it just before I leave the country unless there is any prob.

Thanks for your tyime

Im not sure what you want us to say. Im not being mean, but i don't see what you're asking.
yeh thats what i was wondering...
Also how is the cortisone injection 'risky' it typically has high success rates and i can't see how it could do anything THAT untoward...

Sorry..im not with it!

I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this condition before because it says its rare in under 25s.

The injection is risky because I'm going away in a week and if there is any side effects I'll be out of the country (or something like that she said)

Sorry xx

where you going on holiday to, and for how long?
You're prob best off booking the injection for asap you come back. not sure if your GP can do it or if you'll need someone from hospital.

there is a doctor at the surgery i went to, she should have gone to get him then and asked shouldn't she. Suppose they cant.

I'm going to Mallorca for 2 weeks next saturday. If its still unbearable this week they may have to do it and then atleast ill be relieved for holiday.

It was pretty obvious what the point of the firstpost was...
In reply to the question, nope, I don't have it. But, you don't want to be in pain during holidays, really. It's a tricky one, but get more advice from the doctor.
