Ifor Evans Place

Although I've never been inside Ifor Evans, but I used to pass by the Hall all the time. It is modern, and if my memory serves me right, the building's design even won some prize or award.

I could peek in at the kitchens from the Mile End road, and they were clean, well equipped and quite spacious (at least to me!)

In short, it seems like a nice place to live!

Yer, they're nice. Not a dump at all. Good luck with the fire alarm which goes off about ten times a day though!

Hey thanks guys (and gals)! I feel a lot more confident with signing that form now. :rolleyes:

femmefatale- guess I will bump into you at some point (not literally tho. lol). Im in the second year - but have come from a different uni, so I am kinda in a muddle. Plus I had a year out too - so technically I should now be in the third year, with only 1 'year' to go!!! :rolleyes:

wow!! will i be the only 1st year?! i dont kno how it works, do we hav our own rooms , so i'll be next to you, or do a few of us live in the same "flat". as you can see i havent done much research! where are you living atm?

OK - This is how it is done:

The building is sub-divided into parts (flats) of about 6 people or so in each. In each flat you have your OWN room, but you have to share toilets and showers. I am in the flat next to yours, so im pretty confident that I will meet you shortly face to face once we arrive.

I am currently living at home in Dunstable - north of London (but not in London). I used to go to UEA in Norwich for year one - I think I am a unique case though, so don't panic - most if not all the building will be full of 1st years!

I have just moved uni's so since I don't know anyone I am living in halls for my second year too. :smile:

Hehe - im sure you have got the grades. I've got my results from UEA - i've passed so I am definently going!

I'm studying Computer Science & Web Informatics. Geeky as it may sound, I'm not a geek. lol.

Hey all,

I got my accomodation package earlier today - I'll be in flat 1, Ifor Evans place, which sounds suspiciously like the ground floor to me. Makes a change from the seventh floor at home, I suppose!

Anyone have any idea what the rooms are furnished with?

hi my names stephen hoang , i come from manchester, i like guitar
and i got a place at the ifor evans too.
i thinki i read somewhere that each 6 person flat has 2 bathrooms, so 1 shower for 3 people, that aint too bad. i dont think it has a common room though, which is a bit annoying because that would have been useful to get to know the rest of the the people in the building.

like 'mydoormatspeaks', i will be stayin in flat 1. it would be cool if we could get to know everyone going staying at the ifor evans place on this forum before we see each other in the flesh!
