i enclose how i explained it





· For my final rule I will be using the width and the length for the rule.

· In my first rule G (n-1) xy2 I can see that the n is the length and width because the sizes are the same so I can get one of the sizes either length or width and minus it by one.

· I have noticed that on the rectangles the length of the rectangle is one more than the total

= 20
= 2 x 10

· So I can take one away from the length and now I know that the N in rule one is the width because I have found a rule for the length.

· Then I also need to add to the rule, the grid size I have found out that the grid size also needs to go at the front of the equation like the first rule So the rule is:


G (W-1) L-1

· I put the Length at the end because I have found out what N is.
I have tested the rule here


5x5 cut out in a 10x10 grid should be 160,
So using the rule

10 (5-1) 5-1 => 10x4 = 40x4 = 160 it works here


3x3 cut out in an 8x8 grid should be 32
So using the rule

8 (3-1) 3-1 => 8x2 = 16x2 = 32 it works here


2x3 cut out in a 10x10 grid should be 20
So using the rule

10 (2-1) 3-1 => 10x1 = 10x2 = 20 it works here


These are some the cut outs I have used and the rule works for them therefore my rule is correct.

THIS FORMULA WORKS WITH ANY SQUARE OR TRIANGLE ON A 10 GRID SQUARE!!!!!!!!

Argh, god save me...

Ok, so far about 15 people have added me to their MSN, i'm fine with helping people (although i thought the deadline had been reached weeks ago?) but DON'T ADD ME IF YOU JUST WANT ANSWERS. People are adding me, saying, hi - i'm doing the grid thing whats the formula. I don't have a clue what it is you want, or what information you are working with so can't help you. So just an update to say if you want help feel free to add me but don't expect answers without telling me what it is your doing and want cause i'm being flooded
