i'd say believing something wouldnt suggest uncertainty.

Oh God. Come on. "I believe" is a colloquialism meaning "I could be wrong, but..." or "Unless I am mistaken..."

As every English speaker knows full well.

Hmm, well I guess people like to complain about it more than they actually want to do something about it.

indeed...but when you use the wording and then post a source that you thought would back up the original statement, then its safe to say you were not uncertain. just incorrect

I was both uncertain and incorrect. But why are you giving me a hard time? After all, I was closer to the truth than the anti-smokers who said:

"I presume [Hitler] both smoked and drank alcohol,"

"[Nazi prohibition] was actually due to war rationing, I'm afraid. As far as I'm aware it was the same here in WW1 and WW2,"

"I doubt it was actually prohibited, just anavailable."

etc., etc. Actually their anti-tobacco campaign was in substance very similar to ours today: 85%+ taxes on cigarettes, bans in public spaces, health worship as anti-tobacco propaganda, etc. Hitler's version had the additional novelty of racist hate-mongering (the wrath of the Red Man), and lacked the absurd chimera of "passive smoke"---but other than that he used the same type of propaganda campaign, with the same goals, as your side is using today.
Working in WHSmith, we sell a lot of cigarettes.

But, I'm wondering what is the difference between the different brands?

Do they not all taste the same?
i smoke but i'm not proud of it,
it seams like i'm smoking more and more everyday,
i don't agree that people who smoke are more fun as we are always tired and get out of breath easy.
plus the sex ain't as good anymore.
i'm looking into ways of quiting

no!

most of my friends smoke marlboro lights and hate marlboro reds(which I smoke) because they're so strong.. but I like the stronger taste and whenever I'm forced to smoke lights I have to take longer drags to get a similar taste.

I think it's mostly just habit anyway, what you get used to, etc.

You dont get bored do you? I spend time in the shop I work reading the Cig packets - 15g Carbon Monoxide Mmmm Tasty.. 5g tar. yum. 12g Nicotine.. Delicious.
Most cigarettes have different levels of these.. Espec Lights/Menthol.. etc.

Cigarette smoking Isnt Cool, Or 'Carefree' Its a death sentace.. But Then again maybe thats enjoyable.

Dont smoke myself, but my 15 year old sister's got a thing for Mayfair because apparently theyre cheaper.

Why is it that whenever I go on holiday, i'm inundated with "can you bring me back 200 malboros" and requests for "whatever you get me with £20"? No "have a good time", just "here's £30, would you bring me back 1000 malboro please".
