Smoking and stunted growth

Basically im worred that my mums smoking will affect my growth. I still have growing to do im sure and im worried that it might be affected by her smoking.

She smokes around 5-10 cigarettes a day and breathes most of it out :mad:

Im not around my mum or in the living room (where she smokes the most) very often but im just slightly worried. Will it stunt my growth significantly or what?

And no i dont smoke myself :smile:

Lads have tendencies to have sudden growth spurts in their late teens anyway, so I shouldn't worry. Also, I'm not being funny, but I've begun to notice recently that short(er) lads seem to be the best looking. Seriously. Look at Jude Law, for example. Or Ryan Phillippe. They're both mini...

Although my mate said something about caffeine stunting your growth. Could be true. I never drunk Coffee when i was younger and im 6ft3 and my mate did hes 5ft 6!

i drink loads of shiiiit, especially when i have exams. redbull addict and still i am 6 ft tall and 16 years old. I think eating loads fruits at our age helps to grow.

Just so you realise, that proves sweet f.a. :p:

It's like saying you know someone who has smoked 60 cigarettes every day for the past 80 years and just reached their 100th birthday whereas someone else you know died at 50 even though they never smoked in their life. Anecdotal.

i thought smoking only affected growth if the smoker was pregnant then the baby could end up smaller? and Zhivago- a litre of coke a day :O?? it can give you liver serosis and a whole range of other problems... have you seen those experiments where the coke is so acidic it dissolves human teeth v quickly.
