Climbing - what have you climbed?

So where have you climbed lately?

During a brief visit to Sydney this weekend (for an FHM shoot for the Aussie ed. with another girl from my uni, but that's another story) I decided to take advantage of being in one of the most talked about cities in Australia and climb the Harbour Bridge!!! Yey me!

It was mad fun, and my arms are so sore now, but I'm so glad I did it. Yes I was too scared to absail off it, climbing was enough for me :p:

And then my BF proposed to me, LOL just joking!!! He didn't really at all hehe, but yeah that's what a lot of couples do after that climb. One of my teacher's had her BF propose to her on there, I remembered that was sweet.

Anyway my arrival to the top wasn't exiting, but the views were spectacular. I cannot wait to finish off my roll of film so I have the photos

So where have you climbed lately, and why? Was it exiting? Did you absail off? I want details, and possibly pics too. Climbing is fun

Cool! I'd love to do that! I used to climb everything that looked suitable, esp. trees and climbing-walls of course. It's been ages now though. :frown: There's a club for it here at uni but I don't have a bike in this town and it prolly costs a lot.

I haven't got enough experience at the moment to be so adventurous as you.

QM Uni has links with some climbing centres in London, such as the Castle and Mile End Climbing Centres. There are plenty of others, but these 2 are the only ones I have been too. (They are both indoor).

I wasn't too keen on climbing until a friend dragged me along and it become rather enjoyable.

I haven't recently come back from Tel-Aviv where a few friends & I decided to go to an outside (man made) climbing wall. That was rather fun.

I will never be a massive fan of climbing, but I can appreicate what it brings in terms of getting out, seeing the countryside & world a bit at the same time as getting fit.

Pray tell.
I'd have to open up another thread for that, and sorry it would most likely be in an Australian forum :frown: B/c then I could go, hey look! Tis me, pg. etc etc.

But since I've already a rep for boasting on my uni forums, I decided not to this time. I'm over it, I just can't wait to receive the cheque in the mail :elefant:

You should go for it, I reckon. Is it rockclimbing? Coz there's a club at my uni too  I'm not a part, but I tried it out one day with some friends, it was heaps cool. Wasn't expensive either, we paid like $4

Lol if you had guts to go climbing in Tel-Aviv, from what my friend from Perth (who went to Tel-Aviv last year) tells me about the place, you sound pretty adventurous to me  Jks.

I know what you mean, you feel accomplished after completing the climb. Strange but true.
