Most boring university subject you've done

What is the most boring university subject you've had to undertake so far in your degree?

Please note: this is different from most difficult, b/c the subject could be do-able, just boring! Lol :p:

For me, it's gotta be a toss-up btw statistics (urgh) and neuropsychology :frown:

Chemistry was the hardest, but it wasn't boring - particularly when your BF was in the same class   Also the lecturers were insane

So tell us, what's the most boring subject you've done, and why?

Ok, all you have to do is go look up my threads on neuropsychology...

riight just noticed your username... you'd prolly like it :p:

Just that, seriously, all the lecturer would talk about at 9am (when the lectures started, great time hey!) was about monkeys and how their brains worked, she had a scary obsession :frown:

Plus it was just boring - for me anyway

MUCH preferred personality psych/other psych and human biology in the sciences

i always found it boring too just because my teachers voice was so boring and drainning, i was half dead/asleep at the end of each class. Thinking about it just gives me a headache!

Social Science Research Methods ... I'd would rather have stuck pins in my eyes for two hours a week. Dull lectures, dull content, tedious assignments. There is no way on earth I'm taking Social Science Research Methods II next year.

Macro-economics. the lecturer was awful and assumed we'd all studied economics before when most people hadn't. he just gave us slides with loads of graphs and didn't explain them. i just wanted to sleep through the lectures!

Macro-economics is my favourite strand of the Economics A level.. although the teacher can have a large bearing on how enjoyable a subject is. Degree level could be a lot worse, I wouldn't know.

NO WAY, Micro-economics is much more interesting and relevant, of what iv studied at alevel, especially things to do with market operations and structures, rather than waffle concerning inflations and govt policies (which arent usually relevant in practice).

The question wasn't concerning the least relevant. I enjoyed the macro more than the micro market structures, although it is less precise. It allows more discussion and exploration into impacts and effects.

Microeconomics is more interesting and understandable. Macroeconomics is more normative - you can't prove anything, it's all analysis and opinion.
Anything to do with statistics was the most boring on my degree...but it did give me one of my highest marks ever, but also one of my lowest ever...

Journalism History... becuase the lecturer was old and sooo boring. And he made the worst jokes that he'd laugh at and no one else would. One day in class he came in and said "Ok today we are going to have a talk about the budget" and ive gone "Oooh no!" a little louder than I'd though i had done and yeah, he didnt hear but he heard the people around me laughing. It was pretty funny actually, a good call. But yeah, we'd get about a quarter of people rocking up at the lectures and then half of those people would leave half way through.

I assume you meant exciting - its probably not the most exciting game, but can be exciting at times.
