Hi! I'm currently in year 11 and choosing my A Level options for sixth form. I think I will end up doing French, Spanish, English Lit, History as my options as I hope to study languages at uni. Is this a good combination? I'm worried that it doesn't look varied enough, but I really am awful at maths and science, wheras I love languages.
Thank you :-)

i think that your choices sound fine!
you don't need to be all rounded, especially if you know what you want to do!
i think that doing thoses is great.
english an history are good for essay preperation.

Your choices sounds great. Universities like subjects relevant to your course. And obviously you want to pick the subjects you enjoy most and are best at to get the best grades.
They'll find out how rounded a person you are by finding out about your non-academic interests.

Those subjects are great!! Just concentrate on getting the best grades.

N'apprennent pas le français. C'est un langage de merde. Apprendre l'allemand - je voudrais apprendre l'allemand!
I am not sure if my French is accurate but it should read:
Don't learn French. It's a language of ****. Learn German - I would like to learn German!
The only thing I know in German is Bringen Sie mich zu eurem Fuhrer (Take me to your leader)Last edited by Teaddict; 15-01-2010 at 08:57.

I Am In The Exact Same Situation, Those Are The Four Subjects That I Want To Take
I wouldn't worry about them not being varied enough, because you know what you want to do at uni, and there are different elements there anyway. I think those four subjects are a wonderful blend.
My Only Problem Is That I Want To Take A 5th
