I remember getting sth >10%, but then i checked again and saw that it wanted H2O2, and not the other barium product.

I've just realised I've made a few stupid mistakes, but hopefully I've managed an A. I didn't have time to check, though, which has really worried me.

The one thing I did check with 30 seconds to go to was the long-ish question about radicals and methane. First time I completely missed where it said "Also explain why a small about of ethane would be produced." Realised right at the end and added it in, so hopefully that saved me some marks.

The question gave you the molecular masses of all products, but the only two you needed to use was H2O2 (34) and BaSO4 (233.4)

    The calculation is just:

    [34/(34+233.4)]*100 = 12.7%

You forgot to add the 34 on the bottom, you just did (34/233.4)*100.
    OH SHIIZZZLLLLEEEEE
you reckon i would have still gotten one mark for method? =/ sucks to be me
i actually wrote out "mr of usful/mr of all products"

I messed up the ester question. Saw the C6 H10 O4 and decided to be clever and point this out to the invigilators that there maybe a mistake. Come out of the exam hall and realise what a dunce i was.

I remember getting a really really low atom economy for the H2O2 question, sth like 1.50%. Did anyone else get something similar?

This paper had a lot more writing on it compared to the one in the summer, and I expect to have lost 5-10 marks, so hopefully i manage to get an A.
Aw that's unfortunate! No I saw that my normal ester didn't add up to the molecular formula so making it a diester seemed right.

    for E i got Propan-1-ol
And F i got Propanone- ketone

    what did u get?
I got propan-2-ol because it's a secondary alcohol and only secondary alcohols are oxidised to ketones. Propan-1-ol under reflux would have gone to propanoic acid.

Its adding up mate. 1 mark on this, 2 on the ester, 5-10 spread around the other questions.

I was so confident before, but now the bubble has truly burst. :eek3:

Well, testing a few things out on my calculator, you could have done:

34/233.4 (H202 mass / barium sulphatey thing mass)

and then accidently timesed by 10 rather than 100

    = 1.456

Which would round to 1.5 %
