That won't stop all the individual problems that comes with it and many that i listed. It's never regulated as much as it should be, the only law that's ever really enforced is mandatory health checks.

    Retard.
never said it will stop all problems, my point is it will make things better.

I don't get it why all those people are trying to judge the op, saying he is disgusting and so on, he just wants to know the names of the cities and plus there is nothing disgusting in it. It all depends upon the attitude, if they just want to have a lad holiday and have fun with prostitutes where is the problem? It is their business, he did not ask you guys some sort of moral/ethical judgement so just shut up please

Claiming that someone is being degraded isn't degrading in itself. I can imagine some prostitutes would be offended by the claim they're being degraded, but it wouldn't further the degradation.
Why not, in claiming thus you imply that you are better than that woman. I am interested as to whether you feel male prostituion degrades men?

Some modelling does turn women into sex objects, yes, and I think that's crap too.
Even if this is the result the model desired?

I wouldn't have such a problem with prostitution if I didn't think it stemmed from something much bigger. It's pretty obvious that throughout history women have been valued purely on their capacity as a sex object/wife/mother, and prostitution seems like a blatant continuation of this- of women thinking that their only worth lies in sex.
On the contrary i feel the opposite is true. We cannot deny that the basic and most important purpose for our mamillian species is to reproduce. Along the way the tools and traits developed for this purpose were supressed under the pretense that it was squalid and dirty. For instance many deities and holy men were conceived miraculously without the act of vaginal penetration. The open sexuality of women was surpressed as something to be shunned and disgusted at. It was made dirty and degrading. The main reason for this in my opinion is because of the power it holds over men. In the waning days of the Roman Republic when female promiscuity was looked down upon, there existed a woman named Claudia Pulchra Tercia who rivaled and often eclipsed the power and influence of the men who ruled. She was intelligent, independent and educated, aswell as liberated sexually. Unsurprisingly she was labelled a whore and a prostitute by the male ruling class, even those who had been seduced and enamoured by her. I think this association between female power and prostitution is apt in revealing why such discerning attitudes have been developed towards the practice over the millenia.
Through it's illegality it remains a practice dominated and contolled by men. I have no doubt whatsoever that if it was to be made legal, it would become a business dominated and contolled by women, we already have an example in the porn industry which is being conquered by the vast acumen of it's most famous stars such a Jenna Jameson, who are setting up their own production companies etc.. Men in this type of business are just props and customers. Female power and independece rules supreme. This is why i feel industries in which women take advantage and use their sexuality is the opposite of the extension of /wife/childbearer you alluded to in the above post.

You would be surprised. I used to work abroad alot with a group of guys, the majority of whom had partners and kids. Sooner or later they would all cheat, with other women or prostitutes etc.. Alot of people came and went and those who would not pay for sex or cheat on their partners were in the minority.
    Thats... just ****** up.

Hi I'm not joining in the argument you're currently in - personally don't think it's immoral - but these men you worked with - were they locals? Or, like you, were they non-locals who left their country/region to work there for a period of time?

If it's the latter, then it's obviously not a fair sample. Why do you think a man with kids would want to take a job like that? Yes perhaps they can't find work anywhere else possibly but really it's far more likely to be that they no longer love their wives, they don't know what to do about it, their only way out is to take a job which allows them to be as far away as possible from them. One of my relatives works as a diver in the North Sea, and he basically says it's what people do when they want to get away from their home life. As soon as another one of my relatives got his gf pregnant (by accident) and somehow got roped into marrying her (when he really didn't love her) he was encouraged to go work in the North Sea too, so that he could get away from everything. Which he did.

So yeah I would imagine 99% of men with families who take jobs involving being away from them for long periods of time would cheat at the first chance they got: that's why they're probably there.
