I wonder if anyone could help me with this? My english language grade is CD, anyone know what grade this actually is? I mean is it a C, D or somewhere in between like a low C grade?

    Thanks!

hmm well you should really ask your teacher because in my school they would have given either a CC or a DD.
nothing in between, sounds abit weird to me.

    Maybe it's a C in language and a D in literature?..maybe

I am almost sure it refers to English Language, not Literature. I think it must derive from the days when Speaking and Listening (oral) assessments were given a separate grade, but this practice has now been discontinued.

Grade CD means that you are capable of a C, but you are working at a D. if you finish your English GCSE on a CD grand
then you will finish with a C-. A C- is still a pass, so you are doing well.
