Ive applied for nursing this year

ive already recieved an offer and have interviews however the other day i was thinking about my crb check..

a year and a half ago i was arrested for GBH, however although i was on bail until the evidence proved i was completely innocent. (which to make clear i was)
I was wondering will this show up on my check? and will it mean i cant do the course? Ive had CRB checks before and nothings been mentioned but i was thinking they might not have been as thorough as the uni

any help would be greatly appreciated

The uni will be using the same system; it doesn't have a separate one.

I think the crb check only shows up any convictions you have rather than arrests. As you were proven innocent you were not convicted. hth

I'm pretty sure that this is right.

Arrests won't appear on a CRB check - just convictions. And if no evidence was supplied during your bail period, nothing will show up .

Don't health and education professionals have to go through a more rigorous check though. For instance previous convictions are never scrubbed for potential teachers no matter how long ago they were.

yes, this is true, however the OP did not get convicted....so it shouldn't come up....worst come to worst, phone up the uni and tell them,
