Of course I'd want to know weeks in advance. That's crazy that he just picks up and leaves for 2 weeks without telling you beforehand. What an arse.

Depends on how long he has known about it and how often you see each other. Does seem a little odd, but as I said maybe he didn't know about it until very recently.

The dynamics of your relationship sound great. What have you been doing wrong for him to hide something like that?

I don't ask, expect or want to know what my girlfriend's up to 24/7 but it's nice to be involved and all that - the word 'secret' doesn't really apply (unless she's a really convincing liar!) with us. Sounds like he's hiding something to me.

Did he go to Magaluf by any chance...?

That would explain a lot. :holmes:

Define 'boyfriend' and then you'll get your answer.

When did he book it? Was it spur-of-the-moment?

It was arranged months ago, you live together, he told you yesterday then buggered off today for 2 weeks? Out of order! Have a serious talk with him when he gets home - it sounds like there may be some issues to resolve, or something? I don't personally find that acceptable behaviour - you've every right to be upset OP.

of course he should have told you that he planned on leaving for 2 weeks, in a relationship its good to communicate about these things, sure you don't have to tell each other every single thing that occurs, but when its something that affects you both then it is best to share.

Is he visiting an ex? going to Amsterdam? Is 2 week s code for 'never coming back'?

any of the above could explain it.

if he lives with you i would have thought he should have told you as soon as he booked it, never mind just a few weeks before.

where has he gone? and who with?

If it was me i think i would be more annoyed that he hadn't invited me as well
