D1 Linear Programming Help watch

1. "The number of standard gates sold is 30% of the total number of gates sold"

Standard gate is X
Deluxe Gate is Y

I thought that the constraint would be 3x > 7y

can anyone explain why this is?

So X + Y is your total and X is 30% of X + Y.
Therefore:
X = 0.3(X + Y)
X = 0.3X + 0.3Y
0.7X = 0.3Y
7x = 3Y

I understand you need an inequality, but you said that it IS equal to 30%, not if it is less or more...
4. 30% = 3x
70%= 7y

so 3 time X is 30% at least
