40% of body weight is muscle, or so I read in a book. Maybe you put on a lot more muscle?

Is it just me or is 2kg nothing? :dontknow: I could easily put on 2kg with a decent meal and a few drinks!

I don't even notice fluctuations in my weight which are that small! If I put on half a stone, I'll notice, but that's it!

you no what i watched this programe on the tv and it said that if you dont eat proper meals 3 times a day your body doesnt no when its going to eat so it creats s**t loads of fat, so just eat three times a day, decent meals not totaly meat and stuff but healthily with your veg etc and you should be sheding the pounds soon especialy if your hitting the gym

nooo I don't think so,though I have a weight obsession and I hate to gain weight
2 kg isnt even a pound and so, on my scales wouldnt even register as weight gain, calm down. muscle is denser than fat. how tall are you? 54kg is pretty damn light anywise isnt it??

bloody hell, i just lost 80 posts!

I weigh my self on those acurrate scales that you change the weight and move it until it balances so that you read it off no battries :frown:

Your BMI is 20. You shouldn't be so obsessed with your weight.

get a grip! one kilogram is nothing... lol

stop panicking. I wont care if I put on or lose a stone.. IMO the problem is not with your weight but your interpretation of it..

That could well explain it. I have one of those type of scales at my gym. You have to make sure it is exactly on zero, and then you have to keep on changing how much weight you have selected, step on it, wait for the marker to stop moving, and align. Not very quick, easy, or accurate. Use regular scales, digital ones if possible. I have found them much more accurate and reliable

I'm the same height as you and 4 pounds, which is a bit over 2 kg, makes a huge difference on my frame, it's almost a whole dress size.

You are still in the right range for your weight, but I can understand your panic. Just eat healthily, exercise and don't weigh yourself for a whole week. Measure your waist, thighs and arms with a tape measure and write it down, and then measure it all again in a weeks time. If there is no change think back to what you might have done wrong, an unhealthy snack or too many beers or something. Also just look for tone and flabbiness, you might find that's improving while your weight stays the same.

4 pounds...blimey, I put on twice that during a days eating/drinking.

I can gain up to 3 pounds in a day, but I always weigh myself first thing in the morning, when you are lightest because you haven't eaten or had anything to drink for a while. That way what I have eaten has little affect on it, and if that weight changes by 4 pounds it's a big deal, it is visible.

On the plus side I only have to lose 2 or 3 pounds for people to start asking what great new diet I'm on
