Does anyone else have this exam tomorrow afternoon?

    Prepared?

I'm confident, but I'm ******** myself at the same time. No idea what they're going to throw at us this year, and if the paper is anything like the last two, we should all be worried.

    AQA, by the way.

The exam was ok apart from the sudden U sequence business and the end question?
i could not get the bloody W's to work for me.

Went pretty good for me, I only missed out one question, though...the 3 marker at the end of Question 7.

Lol. I managed to do the induction part. And at the very end I just kind of assumed that w+w2+w3=-1

    you had the fact that
    1+w+ w^2 + w^3 + w^4 + w^5 + w^6 =0
    i rearranged to get
    w+ w^2 + w^3 + w^4 + w^5 + w^6 = -1

then paired up the roots that made cosines
(like part i, you were told to show that w^2 + w^5 = 2cos (whatever it was)

    so i did

    (w + w^6) + (w^2 + w^5) + (w^3 + w^4) = -1

then because you have a 2 in fromt of every cos, you can divie by 2

    therefore

    cosa + cosb + cos c = -1/2

cant remember what a b and c are

which equals what it said you needed.
    thats what i did anyways..

is that even the right question? was it 7b or was that the proof by induction one?

what did everyone do for the proving that
    1+w+ w^2 + w^3 + w^4 + w^5 + w^6 =0

i knew that w = e^2pi/7 then w^2 = e^4pi/7 w^3 = e^6pi/7 and so on then wen u at all the roots you get 0 all the isin theta cancel
