I just made a reservation for a table at a jazz club, and for the reservation they took my name, long card number and expiry date.

Did I give too much information. Surely people could take that number and use it for internet purchases or such like. Or, do they need my address for that as well?

Thanks to any who can help!

Jeez, they would only now need your 3 digit security code on the back of the card to be able to use your card to pay for stuff on the internet. So when you go to the jazz club, use a different card because they may look at your 3 digit code! Why would they need all those card details for you to make a reservation??

In case he doesn't show, I expect.

And they do need your billing address and the security number from your card to use it online.
