    SiCl4 - simple molecular structure with covalent bonding, right? but this is the thing i wanna know, covalent bonding is an intramolecular bonding does it mean that it's covalent bonding it will therefore also have weak intermolecular forces, such as Van der Waals' forces?

    Yes, it will have van der waals forces. It will also have permanent dipole-dipole forces due to chlorine being more electronegative than silicon.

    Ah yes of course, that too but this is another thing how can it have van der waals' and permanent dipole-dipole forces at once??? is that even possible?

    yes it is. They all have van der waals forces, but not all have dipole-dipole or Hydrogen bonds.

    It won't have permanent dipole-dipole interactions because it is a symmetrical molecule, it is tetahedral, the dipoles cancel. Everything has van der Waals' forces since electrons are constantly moving in any atom/molecule.
