Does anyone have any experience with this course, either first or second hand? Is anyone else applying to the course? I'd love to hear any opinions on the course. Compared with Imperial's MSc Environmental Technology, Environmental Economics and Policy specialisation, LSE's course seems quite narrow in scope. I have no doubts, though, that it is a superb course for policy instruction.

Any information or advice from those with experience?

I've done the MSc three years ago. It is a good programme with a focus on policy and economics. The scope is pretty broad and a lot of different strands of the literature are part of the curriculum. Staff teaching the course is excellent and their are strong links to the Grantham Institute on Climate Change, Simon Dietz is actually a lecturer and deputy director of the institute at the same time. He was involved in the Stern Review and is an expert in climate change economics and policy. Richard Perkins is also great, he is a passionate and enthusiatic lecturer. Eric Neumayer too is a great lecturer and has written very a very good book on ecological and environmental economics.

I can definitely recommend the course. It is intense and quite short. But you can focus on your main interest in the dissertation and the exams. I would certainly recommend it.

Hey, I will also be studying this MSc in September and am glad to hear such good things about the course. I also aim to go into environmental consultancy of some kind and am extremely interested in the courses/Uni's links with the Grantham Institute. Thanks so much for posting!

PLEASE you guys who said you got accepted share your profile please

I just wanna know my chances as my grades are above their entry requirements but I've heard that competition is really intense and I can't believe why so many people here got offer in spite of their high selectivity.
