babysitting whilst at uni

do u think that ppl in would perhaps employ me to babysit their children on evenings... for example, once a week or something?

its a relatively easy way to earn a bit of cash - i charge £4 an hr... but usually the families i babysit for give me extra. I usually play with children (e.g. barbie, etc), put them to bed, and then either work/ jst watch tv if i have nothing else to do.

Does anybody currently babysit whilst at uni? If yes, how did u find the families to babysit?... i babysit for about 4 families regularly and they contacted me by word of mouth from each other

maybe you could put posters up in local shops - or if your uni has a jobs area (ours had a special office) they may be able to put you into contact with someone

I think there are specific 'babysitting circles' to join in some towns.

My mum used to babysit for one of her lecturers when she was at uni. But I guess that came about more through luck than anything else. Try putting up ads in local shops, especially ones near primary schools.
