a good guy friend ive known for over a yr (met abroad) has now come to my home country and staying in the same city. he's been in constant contact with me since he arrived (last week), and i met up with him on the weekend. after our meeting he texted me thanking me for going shopping with him and that i should tell him when im free so that we can hang out. i said yeh sure and that id be in touch. the next day he texted me telling me about how his first day at his placement went, and asking me about my day. i replied, and he replied adding information to his first txt. i didnt reply to that one just cos it was a bit unnecessary.

today (2 days later) in the daytime he called me but i missed it at the time - i called him later and he said he called cos he was seeing something near my uni and just wanted to see if i wanted to go too. we chatted for a bit, then when we were saying bye he invited me out to have drinks with some of his new friends on the weekend - when i gave a positive response to this though, he started laughing..? as if he was laughing at me or something?

anyway so is he just being friendly in your opinions? just wanted an outsider's perspective, thanks!
