I've met someone on tinternet. Unexpectedly we get on pretty well. We've been talking for about 3 and a half weeks now, pretty much everyday. I'm thinking of getting a ticket to his town on the old Valentines day and surprising him We'll see how the next three weeks go
Awwh good luck, I met my boyfriend online too, back in the day when myspace was used. I hope it goes well for you!

Er, if we do anything, we'll probably stay in, have sex and avoid other couples. It's his birthday a few days before, anyway, so that kind of takes precedence over some strange faux-holiday...?

Yes, a true expression of my undying and special love for my right hand. Should I buy it some flowers as well?
I'd buy some tissues too, you'll all get too emotional and start crying.

Edit- the gayness of this thread is horrible...you'll break up and cheat on each other in a few months time! =D

I'm not too fussed really. My OH's schedule is pretty tight in feb so I can't really go booking anything cause I don't know where he'll be on the 14th hehe. Probably get him a card or something I dunno - he's really quite non-interested in valentine's day in general.

Might treat her to a lovely home game at Fratton Park - Portsmouth v Sunderland to be precise.

    :ahee:

Will be that extra special, because she is a Southampton fan

Or thinking of going to Wales for the weekend.. Haven't decided yet.

When I was on holiday, I drew a giant heart in the sand on the beach, wrote "I love You " and stood beside it blowing a kiss. My bro took a picture of it/me and I got it printed on a mug at the teh photo place and mailed it to my boyfriend along with an order of chocolates from this little chocolate shop and a "Prisoner of love" voodoo doll He thought it was amazing because it showed I took the time to think about him. Maybe you could do something like that? xx
    That's really nice. :o:

It will be my first Valentines day with my girlfriend this year, we've only been going out a little while though.

I was thinking of going for a walk with her weather depending, as I know this really romantic, or at least picturesque, spot down the canal. I was then thinking of going for a meal or cooking for her myself, and then going to the pub were we had our first date... before going back to mine where I will surprise her with a rose and a card (not sure on big presents because like I said we haven't been going out long) before watching a film or something under candlelight with wine and sexy time.

    Thoughts?

Me and the bf never really bother with Valentine's Day - it's two days after his birthday, and for the last two years we haven't been around each other on Valentine's day - I think the first year I was in Harrogate with my mum, and last year... I can't remember but for some reason we couldn't spend it together. We'll probably just have takeaway or something and watch a DVD. We don't do presents either. It makes life considerably less stressful, and it doesn't mean we love each other any less.

Sounds perfect and don't worry about presents, cooking and taking her to your first date spot etc 10x better- you can't buy memories x

Hmm, questions people, what do you do if you've only been seeing each other a month and it hasn't been 'official' yet? (Granted in 3 weeks' time it may well be 'officialised'/over :p: lol)

I don't want to ignore it because I'd like to do something, same time I don't want to come off as cling-some... tricky.
