Do you live alone or have the place to yourself for the night? I would make him dinner set out a picnic on the carpetwith his favourite movie and romantic lighting then move to the bedroom to finish up.

If he is anything like me (and, as boyfriends go, i consider myself fairly representative of us as a group) then a pot noodle (chicken and mushroom) and some Sainsburies own vanilla ice cream in a glass should suffice. Have a selection of ice cream toppings and syrups ready for him to choose from. He'll be a very happy man.

Am I completely wrong in thinking that for most men, a perfect valentines gift would be pretending that valentines day didn't actually exist?

THIS! It's just another commercialised bunch of crap. If you really love someone do you really need to be told a specific day when to show that love? Is not everyday possible a good time?

All that said our hands are well and truly tied on this one.

Snuggle up in front of the telly with a bottle of wine and a pizza, maybe rent a film and then do what comes natural.

All that matters is you are both together.

Yeah this, my girlfriend did this with me and it was fairly sweet. I also echo the thoughts of a few others, cooking him a meal is a fairly simple way to do something romantic.

Ah that mug's quite cute. I never really drink hot drinks though and neither does he.

Booked the driving experience for him so giving him that as his joint birthday and valentine's present on the Friday, then on valentine's think I'll give him some sweets and chocolate and season 1 of Entourage.

Does anyone think that giving an ipod touch to a girl I really like but barely know is a good idea?
You hardly know me, so I'll have it if you don't want her to think you're weird but like giving expensive gifts :p:
