hello, i just wanted to know, where could I find resources on how to write a scholarship application letter thing, like they normally ask what would u do if u've got the scholarship or... why will the uni give u a scholarship etc... I couldn't find anywhere to post this thread up... so am just wondering could anyone help?

Hmm. Would it be a scholarship based on income and family finances?

If that's the case, finding examples online might be harder. I don't mind people seeing what I wrote in my personal statement, but my bursary application would be strictly confidential.

Mind you, every award has different criteria to be filled, and they want to know different things from the applicant. So it's hard.

Is there a difference between a scholarship and a bursary?

I always imagined that a scholarship was awarded on 'scholarship' i.e. academic prowess and that a bursary was awarded on both academic and low income.

I think there is a slight difference, but I was just suggesting a reason why these resources may be harder to find. :smile:

And s/he might have been applying for an income-based award. Covering bases, like.
