Yes and No.
Depending on the guy (if it was myself), I would be extremely happy.
If its a player - you'll be ridiculed.

Its cute and clingy, but some guys like that.

Hes a good guy but definitely not a player. Thats why i guess i like him. So all u guys out there; would u like it?

I'm terribly shy when it comes to guys. I think i am going to write a letter explaining how i feel. Hes a good guy so i know it won't become sixth form gossip but i want a guys opinion. If a girl sent you a letter and made it clear how she feels would you think it weird.

I have sent a guy a letter. It worked.

I'd love to get a letter from a girl :p:

Well i guess i'm writing that letter..

I thought it would be the next big thing other than telling him verbally. It may seem soppy but i don't think i can convey on the spot how i feel and do my feelings justice and i just think a letter is more personal.

letters arent always serious. Sometimes people play pranks so its better to speak to a guy alone. much better

Personally, I would think it'd be a really sweet thing of a girl to do.

But, it really depends on the guy. Some guys really hate girls pursuing. Some love it.

Also, for your benefit, make sure the guy is positively into you first before you contemplate giving him such a letter. Otherwise, if he's not that into you, he might perceive of your letter as a desperate act. You wouldn't want a guy that you like to see you as desperate.

You must also be prepared for the possibility that the letter can return gossip. It will most likely cause some than not at all - how much gossip depends on how well the guy can keep it from telling other people. Say that in your letter or something that you do not want anyone to know apart from him. If he's really happy about it, he'd surely tell the world.

Anyone else had any experiences with letters?

I would personally have thought if far better just to talk to him, but whatever floats your (his) boat.
Well my boyfriend sent me a long email (kind of the same thing I suppose) and it completely changed my mind. It was so sweet and romantic, it made me think again, and fall for him in a way I may not have done otherwise.

awwww...

So i guess most guys would like a letter from a girl right?

Awww, it's a sweet idea but if you want to avoid embarrassment, make absolute sure it won't go into the wrong hands!

That or think it's odd/weird/shy etcetera. Really there's only one way you'll find out whether he likes letters or not. You shouldn't care why anyone here does.
Well it obviously depends on the guy, but yeah, I would have thought so. My boyfriend says he would like it, but its quite an Asian thing to do! lol!
but do remember that some things are easier to write than to say, so don't get carried away!

It does depend on the guy and how he feels about you - if he isn't interested he might think it's a bit odd, whereas if he is he'll def go for it. Or you could arouse his interest by sending him an anonymous rose, and a note saying sthing to the effect of "these will continue until you ask me out". Then see what he does - if he's interested he'll come to you, if not, no harm done!

I love getting letters from my gf, and it would have been equally well-received if she'd written a letter in the first place, so go for it!

One thing I would say though. Speak to him and put the letter into his hand, don't leave it lying around underneath doors and in lockers etc, just in case!
