    Wait a second...

Never mind the student loans and grants etc because she won't be able to get them until September (I think).

Explain to her that there's this little known website called www.ebay.co.uk and she can grow up, get her stuck-up arse into the real world, and sell some of her £1,000 handbags and any other usless, expensive junk she has instead of trying to live off somebody else.

What's she going to do when she's a solicitor/lawyer (if she ever gets there) and isn't making as much money as she wants so can't afford her nice handbags and sports cars? Fiddle the accounts and steal the money off her clients?

(Trust me, I know. Just because somebody is in a law-related profession does not mean they're going to be loaded.)

Student Finance are actually not that bad in these situations. Once her application is processed she will get paid however much she missed from the point her circumstances changed straight away into her account, I think.

She will be eligible for £2906 in grants, or two thirds of that if she only just became broke, plus £3497 in loans and universities usually offer grants to people with families on low incomes - at Goldsmiths that is £1000, but it's different everywhere.

If she goes ahead and becomes a high-class whore, what will she do after university? Or when he gets bored with her? Move on to another sugardaddy?
She will have to face reality at some point, and personally I would rather do that while I can still get plenty of financial help from the government and university. I live very well (by my standards, which are obviously different to hers) on all my student loans and grants, I have much more than I did before university.

Yeah but she could just sell three or four of her handbags and get the same amount of money without all the bother and let the loans and grants go to students who do actually need the money, not because they can't bear to be parted from all their rich crap.

Fair point. But the OP did mention that she already had to sell a lot of her stuff to help pay off some of her parents' debts. She's probably only left with stuff she isn't willing to part with... This really is a soap opera.

If she has enough time to be with a Sugardaddy, why doesn't she have enough time to work?

Given that she's at Oxford and assuming that she's moderately attractive, she could easily become a high class escort, possibly earning in excess of £1000 a day.

Thats the problem (Im on the phone to her now) she says that whilst a certain type of life is "satisfactory for everyone else" it isnt for her- she doesnt want to be "everyone else"...

....argh that annoyed me a bit, what do i say???
Tell her if she does it, she certainly won't be like "everyone else" — most people aren't whores :p: .

It's a no-brainer, advise her not to do it. Do you really want to be the friend who recommends she ***** some old dude for money?
