I know it occurs when the diazonium salt reacts with a phenol or other aromatic compound under alkaline conditions to form an azo dye, but what sort of temperature does it occur at? Does it occur below 10 degrees celcius like the formation of the diazonium salt, or at another temperature?

A lower temperature is needed as the diazonium salt is unstable (explosive), both when making the salt and using it.
