    3. Binomial expansion
    (i) 128 - 448x + 672x^2 -560x^3 (4 marks)
    (ii) Coefficient = - \frac{35}{4} (2 marks)

    4. Trapezium rule
    (i) 1.55 (4 marks)
    (ii) 0.776 (2 marks)

    5. Integration
    \frac{16}{3} (7 marks)

    6. Factor and remainder theorems

    Judging by that, I dropped less than 10 marks - so that should be an A, right?

    How is the answer to 3 ii) -35/4? I got 35/256 - did anybody else get that?

    Also, for P i got -2/3. Anybody else get that, 'cause thats way off the answer!

    I don't like guessing grade boundaries but I didn't seem there were any particularly difficult questions that would have thrown a large number of candidates.

    7(ii) how did you get it? I thought it was 33.4cm.. (13+(10-4)+(14-4)+(rx=4.4) ?

    Sorry yes, have corrected this.

    Edit: Oops I added the angle to the other sides instead of the arc length in my rush to satisfy you lot with a quick set of answers!

    Mr M, for question 8 iv do I get any method marks for substituting in the arithmetic sum formulae instead of both sigma signs and also sumstituting in values of a and d? even though I got the answer completely wrong?

    Can anyone explain 8)(iv) i kinda assumed you did 0.5n(2a+(n-1)d) substituted in a=8 d=3 and the also changed n to 2N and N took them away - but i got really lost

    I also got p as this, there is no way on earth it can be 56 surely, -2/3 gave me the right answer when i substituted it back in

    as for 3 ii) i did get -35/4, you had to do (-1/4)^3 x 35 x 2^4 i think
