Or pretend to have 17 children and get lots of money from the government.

Become involved in the manufacturing and distribution of recreational pharmaceuticals. I hear the pre-adolescent market is ripe for the taking.

On a serious note, if you're under 18 you're not looking at a lot more than £5 an hour for a weekend job, if that's the sort of thing you're thinking about.

Supermarkets, restaurants and shops will all pay fairly similar amounts. A friend of mine does phone canvassing for the Liberal Democrats, and she's paid £6.50 an hour. I also know someone who's paid £10 an hour to play piano in a restaurant. I'm on £5.96 in the office at Waitrose, but I'm over 18. And I hear busking can pay well if you get a good spot :P
