I am somewhat confused, so bear with me!

I have applied for diagnostic radiography, however, after completing work experience in radiotherapy, I know that is what I would be most happy doing.

I have had a rejection from Liverpool to study diagnostic (because I have insufficient work exp), but this is where I would ideally want to study radiotherapy.

Some people have mentioned Extra, how does this work? Am I able to alter my personal statement as currently it is geared towards Diagnostic? Also, will Liverpool take into consideration that I have already applied this year to do Diagnostic?

I don't want to take a gap year as I am a mature student.
    I'd appreciate any advice.......
    Thanks

Extra will be available once ucas has closed applications. Basically if a course has some spaces they will be advertised in Extra which I believe is available till June time. Obviously as courses fill up they will become unavailable. To go through extra you would have to be rejected from, or withdraw yourself from, any current applications. You can only have one extra choice at a time. Although you won't be able to change your PS on UCAS you would be able to send them a re-written one. And unless it is the same people reviewing your application they won't know you've already applied for a different course.
