Maybe you have a poor judgement of character. I can always spot an interesting person.

To those who cite going to festivals or going to a bar or hanging out with mates as hobbies - doesn't that sound a bit too general? What exactly do you talk about together? What common bonds bring you together?

See the problem there. I say girls are not interesting & I'm a guy, you say they are interesting, and you are not a man. Logic - use it, it's your friend.

I don't even like shopping... it gets on my nerves! Apart from obviously having new clothes... I like that part!

I like playing hockey, singing, dancing, drawing, watching tv, eating, drinking ...Loadss of stuff!
...I'm sure there's something you like doing?

Because generally everyone does them. It'd be like saying breathing and blinking counts as exercise.
for a start; I know a lot of people who dislike dancing, and surely a hobby is just something you enjoy? it doesn't have to be something unusual - just something you choose to spend your spare time doing because you like it.
shed loads of people like sports, doesn't make it any less of a hobby. And virtually everyone I know usually has a book on the go....

I don't think all girls are interesting, just like I don't think all guys are interesting. :dontknow:
At least I'm not sad enough to make such a sweeping generalisation of an entire gender. :mmm:
    Common sense- it's a gift.

See you're boring me now. So bye.

Oh and OP just because someone has a lot of hobbies, doesn't make them an interesting person. I couldn't care less if someone did a lot of sports.

Playing the piano and guitar, singing, playing my own music at open-mic nights, ashtanga yoga, films, tennis, volunteering, snowboarding, trekking, swimming, politics and current affairs, travelling (went to Russian Karelia for a volunteering trip before Christmas, going to Croatia in June..), buying strange earrings and all the usual stuff like films, books, hanging out with friends and going out.

    I hate shopping

I used to looove dog agility but can't do it anymore cos my dog's got arthritis and diabetes

Other than that I play the guitar to a reasonable standard, draw to a less-than-reasonable standard and am trying to get back into trampolining despite the fact that it scares me.

I'm gonna take that as 'i am so socially inept i have spoken to three girls in my life, who just so happened to be very, very dull', because you can't have met many women if none of them have been interesting.

Either that, or you're boring yourself.

Jump straight in with an attack when you know **** all about me why not.
Actually I'm socially normal, go to the gym several times a week, go out with my mates when I can etc. I've met plenty of women/girls and almost all have been exceptionally boring, with the inclusion of my sister. Facebook, gossip pages, gossip and that's it. Oh and shopping and dancing if you really think they count as interests.
And I'm interested in many things, hence why I can say women are dull. If I was dull myself, surely I would think women would then be interesting if they were dull as well?
What then are your hobbies as you must be a rather thrilling individual to make such a criticism?

So common sense and expereince don't go hand in hand? You really don't get the idea of logic do you?
Oh dear, I'm boring you a.k.a. you don't have anything more to say because you don't seem all that smart.
Lots of hobbies tends to make someone interesting because they then can talk about many things e.g. "earlier today me and the guys were playing football" etc.
Nice to see you think about things so thoroughly.

i dont have any, and therefore i have little to talk about. i hate this because it makes me look boring and from a knowledge perspective, pretty stupid.
i was just wondering what interests you have other than shopping?
dont worry i feel like this all the time!

    dancing
    not shopping!
    going out
    theatre
    music
    READING :yep:
    watching porn
    reading porn
    writing porn
talking to other humans (is that a hobby?)
    all girls football team
    volunteer in a few places
long walks (i swear im normal, but i really do love the motion of controlled falling!)
tutoring (teacher student scenarios stroke my ego)
    getting dressed up
    boys
    boys
    girls
    boys
    trying new things
    meeting new people

seee you can scrape the bone and find a hobby in most things!

There isn't much that doesn't interest me. And yes, you must be very boring. If you have no interests or hobbies, you'd enjoy nothing and literally do nothing all day other than go through the motions. You can't honestly be like that, can you? You probably do like things, watching films? TV? Socialising? Learning?

    and what? :dontknow:
If the other person isn't interested in football, the means **** all . The most interesting people are the ones that have had the most interesting experiences.

Wow, what breathtaking generalisations  (directed at Matzy - just realised he isn't the OP)

Personally, I play rugby and cricket; I love reading history, anthropology, travel literature, fiction, some biographies, some psychology/neuroscience (Oliver Sacks for example), and books which kind of defy classification; I love drawing; I love travelling; I enjoy swimming, though I don't often have time to fit it in; I love writing; I play the violin (though again, I don't often have time to play anymore) and love listening to music...

I hate celebrity/fashion/gossip magazines and have little interest in those subjects, and I watch very little TV, unless there's a particularly interesting-looking film or documentary on (and The Simpsons, occasionally.)

Guys may call girls who are only interested in fashion, gossip & celebrities boring, but then girls can call guys who are only interested in beer, cars & football boring too... it works both ways - and just because you don't find something interesting it doesn't mean that everyone thinks so!

Lol I find it funny when girls put on their Facebook "interests" or "hobbies" things such as 'boyz', 'sex', 'drinkinnnnnn' and 'shopppingggg'.

Though fortunately not all girls are like that.
