I don't know of anywhere I'm afraid. We had a BBQ on our college boathouse roof in 9th week, but considering the arson attack which happened recently that's probably not a sensible option! BBQ's are banned in both ChCh meadow and Univ Parks as far as I'm aware...as regards to your individual college, the best thing to do would be to ask the bursar/steward I would imagine.

I'm organising a barbeque at our boathouse for the beginning of Michaelmas.

I don't think Univ Parks bans barbecues - atleast I know OICCU managed to have one there without any problem. They just asked for permission and got granted it.

permission from whom? God?

Well that's all well and good for OICCU - whom do the rest of us ask?

Does permission come on headed note paper or via burning bush?  <sorry! >

Well prayer is the latest fad in human-deity telecommunications nowadays.

Much faster than snail-mail, although the response time is 3-5 working days at the moment, apparently there's angel strikes at the moment causing disruption.

Metatron on strike at being fire-extinguished again?

Note: TSR does not condone blasphemy, so calm down with your righteous indignation. I, on the other hand, do condone, indeed encourage blasphemy. So get praying for my soul, bihatches, coz I'm going to be in hell for a long, long time...

Hi, for all those in Oxford, does anyone know where is available for a public BBQ? Or what kind of procedures are needed to hold a BBQ in college (e.g. Christ Church)

Oioi, so you're spending your time bbq-ing then

When a group of friends and I lit up a disposable BBQ in the Park, within two minutes a warden came along and told us to put it out. He didn't ask if we'd been granted permission, just informed us that it wasn't allowed. So we had it in our quad instead

Oh yeah, finally found out that the nice little field that belongs to the Liddell Building can be used for BBQ, but permission has to be asked from either Christ Church or Corpus. The residential manager is very nice, and obviously loves BBQ himself!

But aliel, I'm spending time watching others BBQ-ing, to be precise :frown:

And how better to start preparing for the eternal flames than with a BBQ? :p:
