Hey, dont know if I chose the right forum to put this in ..

Since I was 16 ive worked in several jobs, ..

    > Part time job in local newsagents
    > Cleaner
    > Telesales
    > Position in a retail clothes store.

During my time working in the clothes store, i studied for a sociology degree at University. I have now graduated. After this I went travelling for 6 months.

Now all the jobs that I would like to apply for, (working with homeless people, or other vulnerable people) it states on the adverts that experience is essential - i do not have experience in this area and therefore do not apply.

But when it comes to other jobs, I can only see myself working in retail again, I just noticed an assistant manager position - and I dont even feel like I could apply for this .. not because i cant do it, but because i feel that nobody would think im good enough?

Im sick of having no confidence and wish I could just apply for any job I want but I dont want to be rejected every single time

Start applying for them. Perhaps you'll be rejected, but you might not. You definitely won't get the job if you don't apply.

Also, could you volunteer to work with homeless/other vulnerable people? Then you could get some experience so you can apply for the jobs you really want.

Go and do some volunteer work down in the hospital or in old peoples homes or in care homes. Then after so many months apply for the same in vulnerable people or go on do it.org
