Ohh, OP, has she received an offer since you posted the thread? Lol, that no doubt would've cheered her up. Tbh, for something like medicine/vetmed/dentistry, you only need the one offer. I guess you could say that for any course, but especially those considering entry requirements are normally the same etc.
No, she got rejected by Bristol and her other two unis seem to be ignoring her.

Eurgh, that does suck. It's mad competitive, the poor girl, but you do feel really disillusioned. Which two unis is she waiting for? If her academics are great, just tell her to focus on them and not let them be affected. Easier said than done, I know, but at least then she can confidently say she's achieved excellent results and that'll make her stand out if she does need to take a gap year. But, we still don't know if she does... different unis look for different things, in the PS etc., so since she only needs the one offer, at least she has two more chances.

She's waiting for King's and Manchester, interview in Jan and Dec respectively. I really hope she gets King's but as she's international, theres only 8 places I think. That seems so scary.

It's nice that you took the time to ask me on her update. I already forgot about this thread!

She'll soon forget about it once she gets an offer from somewhere else. My friends first reply was a rejection and she was distraught about it and thought she was a failure but since then shes got 4 offers and now she doesn't care about the rejection

I got rejected and honestly the best thing is just to leave it - say that you're genuinely sorry to hear it and you're sure she'll get into somewhere else/focus on any offers she already has, but don't dwell on it. The best thing is to get over it as quickly as you can and look on the bright side as much as possible.
