    which meds schools tend to have high cut off and which have lower cut offs.

    just wondering which school someone should apply to with low ukcat (eg 550-650) and which unis if i got high ukcat (eg 650-700+).

    sorry if this has been asked before.

    Sheffield is considered a uni with a high cut off, I believe this year its around 680-690

    Barts -612-620 min
    Sheffield 680+
    kings 650+ (if you dont have many A*s)
    Newcastle/Durham (630-650)
    hull york 550+ (you get scored out of 10, 550 would be 1/10)
    ST Georges dont really care, just take the test
    Peninsula 625+

    Btw these are just approximates.

    Nottingham dont have a cut and its used in combination with GCSEs and other stuff but i guess anything over 600 is acceptable

    Leicester score the UKCAT out of 5 on your lowest section score so if your lowest section is over 700 u get 5/5, if its over 600 you get 4/5 and so on..

    i know someone with a low ukcat score but straight A* in GCSE and As in 4 a levels and she got into st georges.

    er...I didnt do anything special really.. Just went through a few practice books, and did the mock tests on their website!
    I know they say practice doesnt help, but I really think it does.. especially for the abstract section..
