# The 2010, Honorary Member Welcoming, Undergraduate Degree Results Chat Thread Mk. IV watch

1. (Original post by + polarity -)
I had a dream that my mum's friend died last night. It didn't even have anything to do with a gun.

I found the video via that most disgusting video thread.
hahaha

ok no more disgusting pics, and you stole 2100
2. @violet
Why do people insist on saying hello on msn when i'm in mid ****?
3. I don;t mind tbh, I don;t wnt 1st place

OK, the topic I've just read is entropy

Two factors can affect entropy; soace between energy levels and tenperature

For example ∆S = and ∆H =

∆S is -ve so entropy had decreased (molecules more ordered)
∆H is -ve so change is exothermic. Energy is lost to surruoundings.

∆Ssurr = -∆H/T(k)
∆Stot = ∆Ssys + ∆Ssurr

For spontaneous reaction, ∆Stot
Eqilibrium is established if ∆Stot
4. Latex doesn't like ∆
5. I'm 11th place on this thread. Not even close to 100 posts.
6. Negative entropy? How is this possible?!

I think I fixed it

Just use \Delta instead. \delta gives lower case delta.
8. I love trolling
9. Its just ∆S, so entropy will increase (I'm going by my notes that I made form my course book)

Ahh ok, thanks

Right...Lattice enthalpy
11. Sorry to interrupt Loz, but do any of you have any idea how we can make TSR good again?
12. Lattice Enthalpy - The change in enthalpy when 1 mole of solid is formed by the coming together of seperate ions.

Lattice enthalpy is denoted as
is always -ve, the stronger the ionic bonding between ions, the more negative
To break a lattice, equal energy to must be input

Factors that affect are
• Increase in ionic charge

14. or....
15. (Original post by Loz17)

That hamster was in south park as well
16. There's no good trolls around anymore

Trolls make this place fun
17. Thats coz topnotch mods H&R now. Hes rather quick

he's also a t-wat

trolling ftw
19. good troll thread -any ideas? without making it too obvious.
