So I took my AQA Sociology AS exam yesterday and I don't exactly know why but because of all the stress or something I went and answered the wrong question on the paper!!! There were three sections and the front page of the booklet told you to answer the 5 questions in one of the sections ONLY. So I looked through the paper, saw that I personally thought I could do better on Section 2 so I answered that on got on with it. After my exam I realised that we were meant to answer the first section ONLY and I will get marked for the questions however I won't get the mark I would have got if I answered the correct section.

I was just wondering if there would be any alternatives to retaking in June that anyone knows of? Thanks, Nick

You should've concentrated more on the exam, and prevent yourself from retaking it in June.

Sure you can retake in June..

My teacher says I can... I just wanted to do the exam and get it over with after spending days and then 6 hours that day revising Last year in my English they told us which question we had to do but this year they didn't say anything. My fault anyway

There's no alternative but to hope you get a good grade, and consider retaking in June if you don't

So why weren't you allowed to answer the questions in section 2? I didn't get that.

You will get marked for what you answered so you may have done really well in question 2. If you answered everything you could even have got full marks. This happened to a person in my class last year and they got a D ...the thing is we were only taught one specific topic (this person answered another topic question). Therefore this person answered a question they knew nothing about and still got marks. Don't panic you will be ok.
